Here I go again, lamenting at how quickly people grow up. Emma was one of the young women I taught in the Young Women's Program in our church when she was only 12! I moved just a short distance and didn't get to see Emma very often. When we met for her senior pictures, I saw this beautiful grown young woman before me. The old saying is true. If you blink, you might miss it!
Emma has such a quiet grace about her. She is someone who loves hanging out with friends, hiking, or spending time at home with her dog, Maddie. I also hear she loves to bake and I’m pretty confident she’s amazing at it!
As we chatted during pictures, we talked about her future plans. Her family is moving to Boston soon and she is very excited to live back east and spend time there before she serves a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It doesn’t surprise me that she is going to serve a mission because she lives in a way that she radiates Christlike attributes. She loves learning about the gospel in church and Seminary, which is a four year program from which she will also graduate. It was such a pleasure to spend some time with Emma before she moves. I am so excited for her and her future. Congratulations, Emma!
