Lizzy is one of those teenagers who is really an adult whose age doesn't describe her maturity! I've known Lizzy for about six years and I have seen that she is extremely willing and able to do any task placed before her, including planning and implementing activities for a group as small as 12 to a crowd of over 300 youth. Her smile is contagious and she is a leader and mentor to those around her.
On top of her ability to plan and execute tasks, she has been a part of the marching band at Johnson High School for the past four years. Being a part of marching band pretty much means giving up your waking hours (and half of your sleeping hours) for several months on end while learning choreography, new songs, and practicing until you drop! Lizzy plays the saxophone and her high school band has earned amazing awards and accolades year after year.
In her spare time (which there isn't a lot of) she is a member of the National Honor Society and loves volunteering at the Bulverde Humane Society. She is also one of four recipients of a women's entrepreneurial scholarship awarded by the National Association of Women Business Owners. That is an amazing accomplishment and a testament to Lizzy's hard work and abilities!
Once graduation is over, Lizzy will move to Utah to work until she is old enough to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for eighteen months. After her service, she will return to Utah to attend college at BYU.
I have no doubt Lizzy will accomplish her dreams and more! Congratulations, Lizzy!
