I don't think I've met a graduating senior this year who hasn't impressed me and Alaina is no different! The first thing that impressed me about Alaina is that she is extremely self-sufficient at a very young age! She is graduating as a seventeen-year-old and her maturity level is definitely several years older which will serve her well as she takes on the many opportunities and challenges that await her!
Like all of the seniors graduating this year, Alaina's high school experience has not been like many others with the Covid 19 pandemic that caused students to have online school and be separated from their peers over the course of many months. Alaina not only figured out how to navigate school through the pandemic, she also moved to San Antonio during the middle of her junior year. Fortunately, this did not slow her down one bit as she excelled academically and received college credit for five AP classes!
Alaina has a quiet disposition, but she is confident and talented in many ways. She loves theater and lettered her Freshman year in Houston which took a lot of hard work! She has a great group of friends and is easy to get along with as I have observed her among her peers at church and with others in her social circle.
When Alaina graduates, she will attend BYU-Idaho in the Fall and is planning to major in English. As you set off on this exciting new chapter of your life, Alaina, I want to wish you luck and congratulate you on a job well done in high school!
