Saturday evenings at the Japanese Tea Gardens are anything but deserted. The narrow sidewalks are teaming with people eager to enjoy the outdoors since Covid interrupted many of the things we take for granted. It’s also teaming with photographers jockeying for position and Xavier and I were smack in the middle of it all. Xavier has a laid-back personality and chill vibe, so the crowds were no big deal!
I always appreciate a teenager who is willing to trust me as I schlep them around a location and help them feel relaxed in front of the camera. Xavier is exactly that kind of a teenager and he pretty much kills that straight-faced, cover-of-a-magazine, no-nonsense shot! He joked with his mom and they seemed to have such an open and honest relationship. It was such a fun session!
Xavier is on the wrestling team at Johnson High School, and obviously excels at it since he earned his letterman’s jacket. He plans to pursue a career in kinesiology after graduation. He has a definite direction and I think it’s safe to say he’ll accomplish his goals.
Congratulations, Xavier! Make the most of this Senior year and look to the future with hope! You’ll do great!
