Twice the Fun Senior Photo Shoot

Graduation is twice the fun when you're a twin! It's really hard to believe Makenna and McKay are old enough to be graduating. As I visited with them during our session, it was apparent that they are ready to take on whatever is coming next for them.

We had such a fun time scouting pretty locations and when we saw the wildflower field, we were excited to make that a part of their pictures. Texas is famous for wildflowers, and since these two are genuine Texas-grown young adults, it was fitting to have some wildflowers for their senior pictures.

Even though they are twins, they have distinct personalities. McKay's interests are very familiar to me since he loves shows like The Good Place, The Flash and Wanda Vision and all things Disney (sounds just like my own boys). His mom may or may not have told me he has a crush on Elizabeth Olsen. And, he's a hugger!

As you can see, Makenna is a Taylor Swift fan and clued me in about her Taylor Swift cardigan. These are things I am not familiar with since I don't have daughters to inform me! She loves animals and her mom describes her as an empath who is kind and forgiving.

Something they both have in common is musical talent! They have both been in the Texas Children's Choir for eight years, traveling all over the world for performances. They both are also accomplished pianists, having taken lessons for 13 years!

Even with their differences, what they have in common is that they are both the kind of teenagers that are kind, respectful, and amazing examples to their peers.

Makenna and McKay are both graduating from an online school, because with the last year of school being online for many students anyway, they decided they wanted to use that time to work. With their school schedule being so flexible, they were both able to do just that. Makenna has worked at a doctor's office, and from what I hear she has become proficient at giving shots! McKay works at Old Navy and enjoys the social interactions there!

After graduation, their paths will diverge for a time. McKay will attend BYU-Idaho this fall and then serve a two-year full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is going to study film and photography productions and I had fun reviewing camera settings with him during our session.

Makenna plans to work for a year at her current job before heading to BYU-Idaho next year. She is also a budding photographer so that may play a part in her future plans.

I just want to tell these two how fun it was to catch up with them. They are definitely going places and I know they will accomplish anything they set out to do. Congratulations to the two of you and the best of luck in your future endeavors!
